i want tattoos and i want piercings but im terrified of how much they’ll hurt :/ anyone have advice or know how badly dermal piercings and tattoos hurt?

I have a dermal in my sternum, right below m clavicle and it hurt about as much as my lobe piercings did. Which is to say, not much at all!

If you want one, I’d say go for it. It seems scary, but the process is fast and not that bad in my experience.

Reblogging because I looked for this for days, not remembering WHERE I saw it. LOOK AT IT. IT”S BEAUTIFUL! I’m gonna talk to my piercer about this (I never really liked eyebrow piercings until I saw THIS.

It is truly gorgeous, but be careful! This isn’t my piercing, but I know that the owner of this was advised by their piercer that it would be difficult to heal. And they went to a very well-renowned professional piercer to get this done (complete with custom bent jewelry, and the guy had to try about 3 times to actually bend it right). This isn’t something any old piercer is going to be able to pull off with any level of success.

Well I was thinking it would be a lot easier to have them pierced with two separate bars, then after its healed to get the bar bent. That way they could heal without any added pressure.

That seems feasible to me, but I’m obviously not a professional so I’d be interested in hearing what your piercer has to say! ..And if they think it is possible it would seriously tempt me in the future too haha.
